A small family beekeeping business

The Harrop Honey Co. is a small-scale family beekeeping business. Our founder unearthed her passion for apiculture in 2020 where she began keeping bees in her parent's garden! Since then, our business has grown and we now have a dedicated apiary site with several colonies. Together as a family, we are building our passion and experience to holistically maximise and balance our bees' environment, habitat, and health.  At The Harrop Honey Co. we believe in embracing a sustainable future through the sweet art of beekeeping and recognise the vital role bees play in our ecosystem, pollinating crops, and producing delicious honey.  Bees are facing numerous threats, from habitat loss to pesticide use so we aim to promote environmental sustainability and help reverse the decline of their population in the UK. We are registered members of the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA) and the Animal and Plant Health Agency’s (APHA) National Bee Unit, BeeBase. Join us in making a buzz-worthy difference in the world. Together, we can protect bees, support local agriculture, and savour the sweetness of nature's bounty!

Our Passion

We believe passionately in the amazing role of the honeybee and the good they do in the world.

Our small family-run beekeeping operation is deeply committed to the preservation of honeybee populations and our precious ecology. While we adore the sweet reward of honey, our primary passion lies in nurturing these essential pollinators and safeguarding their habitats.

Every jar of honey you purchase from us not only delights your taste buds but also supports our mission to sustainably care for these remarkable creatures and the environment they call home. Join us on our hive-loving journey and taste the sweetness of conservation with every spoonful!

Did you know that honeybee populations in the UK have faced significant challenges in recent years, with factors such as habitat loss, pesticide use, and climate change contributing to declining numbers? Despite these challenges, there has been a growing awareness and effort to support honeybees through conservation initiatives, bee-friendly gardening practices, and urban beekeeping projects across the country. So we need your help!
